Terms of Service

BigTranslator translates PDF documents using AI (Claude by Anthropic). We support documents up to 1,000 pages and translation between 71 languages.

BigTranslator is intended for personal and business document translation. You may not use the service to translate illegal content, content that infringes on intellectual property rights, or content that violates the rights of others.

AI-powered translations are provided as-is. While we strive for high quality, machine translation may contain errors or miss nuance. For legal, medical, certified, or other high-stakes translation needs, we recommend professional human review of the output.

BigTranslator uses one-time payments per document. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy with your translation or experience an issue, email james@bigtranslator.net and we'll work it out.

You retain all rights to your documents. We claim no ownership of any uploaded or translated content. Your documents are yours, before, during, and after translation.

BigTranslator is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for translation errors, loss of data, business interruption, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific translation in question.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to perform maintenance, updates, or address unexpected issues that could temporarily affect access.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
